9. March 2001 - Beazer Group Head Office in Bath asked to give recognition to the Pathfields development

Despite being a prestigious new housing development for Beazer Homes, the development called 'DeRedvers Grove' by Beazers, fails to appear on the companies www site at www.beazergroup.co.uk/   Other sites are mentioned where environmental and landscaping considerations are important, and yet this site which has had immense local coverage and national interest through the Time Team visit, and has been nominated for inclusion in the proposed new Conservation Area, does not get a mention.

Here would be a golden opportunity for Beazer Homes to win back some of the adverse publicity (Anne Robinson's 'Watchdog' programme) by showing that they can produce an award winning housing development built to the highest standards which takes account of the local environment, landscape and historic setting.  The use of natural materials, careful and sympathetic landscaping, the construction of high quality traditional Devon hedges, the reinstatement of the original course of the Long Brook as a natural landscaped open feature, tree protection and preservation, enhancing the historic bridge on Dark Street Lane, are all aspects of the development that could win Beazer Homes national acclaim.

The Pathfields Group has contacted the Beazer web site administrator to ask why this prestigious development is not included and has also written to the head of the Beazer Group at their headquarters in Bath asking for the Pathfields to be given proper recognition.
